If you love matcha, you're bound to find something you love at Matcha Village. It's been my go to dessert spot whenever I find myself at Sawtelle. Everything in this cafe is very chic and stylish, from the decor, ambiance, and presentation of drinks and desserts. One of my go tos has always been the Matcha Crepe Cake. The cake has so many layers and it's always impressively good whenever I have it. There's a variety of savory and sweet desserts, and usually the portions are small and a bit expensive. The drinks are also quite good but can be hit or miss, I got their newer Rose Matcha Latte and it has a good balance of rose and matcha. My friend got their Strawberry Matcha Latte and it wasn't as good as my Rose.

I've lived down the street from Matcha Village since who knows how long, but for some reason I've never visited. Perhaps its because there are so many other places in the area. However, today, I was looking for a spot where I could study with a friend near me, recognized the name and decided to visit. There is parking in the big lot connected to the shop, which is perfect! It's a nice change from the other side of Sawtelle--where you need to basically fight for your life for a good parking spot. Walking into the coffee shop, it was so cutely decorated with plenty of seating available. Since my purpose of visiting was to do work, it didn't dawn on me until later how awesome the matcha variety in the desserts and drinks is was. Matcha is actually my go-to drink at other shops, so the fact that they have matcha ice cream, milk tea, cakes, and smoothies is great. This place is going to be one of my go-to spots now because the tables are a great one-seater size. I also happened to sit at a table with an outlet underneath (it was deeeep against the chair so I was half-crawling under the chair to get to it). The wifi worked well and the service was nice and friendly. Considering the fact that I'll probably be studying here for a couple hours at a time, the higher drink/food prices seem worth it for me.

Definitely a great place to study! It was spacious, and there are lots of seatings. There's many matcha options to try, would recommend the dragon ball z matcha

Very friendly and attuned staff; the drinks were all phenomenal where you can't go wrong with either hot or cold drinks. Highly recommend getting the classic matcha with 30% sugar and with red bean, as well as the white queen for your queen!

First off love the names of the drink and cannot wait to try my Millie crepe when I get home. The drink was tasty, I wish the match was a little bit stronger but overall I loved the spin with the oats inside of the matcha. I will be definitely be back to try more things in the near future.
